In these contemporary gold leaf paintings, I have accentuated the inherent preciousness and mesmerizing reflective qualities possessed by the remarkable medium of metal. The array of colors employed ranges from breathtakingly translucent hues to opaque tones, playing off the ethereal dance of light that is gracefully reflected by the metal's surface.

However, in a curious twist, I have intentionally introduced elements of contrast to these seemingly perfect metal leaf surfaces. Through intricate scratches and scumbling techniques, I have created a sense of deterioration, reminiscent, perhaps, of the lingering echoes from my previous series, aptly titled "Entropy."
