Flora Series, by Linda PicosClark
The Flora series, which made its debut during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and carried on well into the aftermath, served as a testament to the endurance of nature. As the world anxiously awaited the transformative impact of the global crisis, I found solace in viewing things from a different perspective. Seeking affirmation of my belief that hope and positivity would prevail, I turned my attention to the natural world.
Despite the struggles we faced, with a barrage of perplexing news and an overwhelming sense of panic and fear surrounding us, the sun continued to cast its radiant light upon us. Beautiful flowers defiantly bloomed, reminding me that life persisted even in the face of isolation. It became clear to me that there is always a glimmer of hope, and life's flourishing nature surpasses the constraints imposed by mankind and governments.
Undoubtedly, the vices of greed, lust, gluttony, and all the other deadly sins will always exist in this world. Yet, it is crucial to recognize that hope, faith, the pursuit of truth, and resilience hold immense power. These virtues, which have weathered the test of time, serve as reminders that even in the darkest of times, there is a way forward. So, as we navigate the uncertainties that lie ahead, let us hold steadfast to our beliefs and trust in the inherent resilience of life itself.
