My Work

For the last year, after the covid era, I had the need to explore the beautiful. It came in the form of flowers. Complex in in their many forms and coloring, yet simply translated, a flower.Even in the midst of our darkest hours, beauty gives us hope, and we all need hope.

The Scapes series was a natural progression from the series, Entropy. Entropy, was more geometric and declined into disorder. During this series my brush work became looser, until they evolved into landscapes form. And thus a new series emerged, Scapes.

Colors and light bounce back to the viewer and translucent colors seemingly glow when you paint on metal leaf. Working with metal leafing has is very different than working with paint. You have to take the reflective quality as part of the painting.
