The movement of sea water is truly mesmerizing, with its captivating and ever-changing ebb and flow. As an artist, I aimed to capture the fluidity and undulating waves that occur in my painting. The process of creating this artwork was just as mesmerizing as watching the actual movement of water itself. I find that when I'm in the studio, painting from memory allows me to evoke the feelings that water evokes in me. Through the Scapes series, I sought to depict not just the physical attributes of water, but also the emotions it stirs within me. The blues, greens, whites, yellows, and creams that I used in this piece were carefully chosen to convey the essence of water and its mesmerizing beauty.
